About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This role involves soliciting residential mortgages, producing high-quality loans, and providing excellent customer service. The consultant will build relationships with various stakeholders, stay informed about mortgage industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Solicit residential mortgages from various sources.
• Produce high-quality loans that are compliant and provide excellent customer service.
• Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, and other sources.
• Develop and maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.
• Present recommendations for producing loans and adhere to policies and compliance requirements.
• Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and transactions.
• Receive customer applications, quote rates, and complete follow-up activities.
• Analyze financial and credit data to match customer needs with appropriate loan programs.
• Inform customers of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction through timely communication.
• Pursue training offerings to increase knowledge of company products and policies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with retail residential mortgage and purchase fundings over the past 12 months.
• Experience educating clients on various mortgage programs.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
• Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English is preferred.
• Customer service experience.
