About the position

Old National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Sales Manager for Community Development, a role that is pivotal in driving our commitment to social responsibility and community investment. This position is designed for a Community Development Mortgage Loan Originator who will focus on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Multicultural Originations. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating residential mortgages specifically aimed at Low to Moderate Income (LMI) communities, as well as majority-minority communities and individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Black or African American, Hispanic, American Indian, and Asian/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander individuals. In this role, you will originate mortgage loans to meet production goals while self-sourcing loans through established referral partners, community organizations, housing agencies, local business leaders, and realtors. You will be tasked with converting leads into applications, presenting personalized mortgage solutions, producing required disclosures, and collecting necessary documents to satisfy loan conditions. Managing the pipeline from origination through to closing is essential, along with completing required management reports to track progress and performance. Collaboration is key in this position; you will consult with internal partners to ensure superior customer service delivery. Utilizing Old National Bank's reference tools and resources, you will provide accurate and up-to-date loan information to customers and business partners. A significant aspect of this role involves promoting home ownership, particularly focusing on properties located in majority-minority census tracts. Additionally, you will coordinate and conduct home-buying training seminars for potential CRA and multicultural origination mortgage applicants, and partner with community, non-profit, and government agencies that focus on affordable housing programs or minority communities.

Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans to achieve production goals.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the area of community and diversity mortgage loan origination.
  • Working knowledge of FHA, conventional and governmental lending guidelines; federal lending regulations; CRA, Multicultural and HUD income guidelines.
  • Must have competent computer skills.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have competent skills in organizational and time management along with the ability to multi-task.
