The Moslehi Lab at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Professional Researcher to join their team. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and will be responsible for designing and executing experimental studies in both in vitro and in vivo model systems. This role requires a significant degree of independence, as the researcher will analyze data obtained from these studies and prepare it for dissemination in various contexts, including publications, grant proposals, and funding reports. Dr. Moslehi, the William Grossman Distinguished Professor in Cardiology, leads the lab and has made significant contributions to the fields of cardio-oncology and cardio-immunology. His research focuses on understanding the role of the adaptive immune system in cardiovascular disease, having defined novel clinical syndromes and developed cellular and mouse models that replicate these conditions. The lab is well-funded through multiple NIH grants and additional support from philanthropy and industry, providing a robust environment for research and discovery. The candidate will be expected to possess both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in relevant research areas to contribute effectively to the lab's growth. There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to eventually take on a lab manager role, which would include additional administrative responsibilities alongside scientific and program management duties.
