About the position

The Household Manager & Family Assistant role is designed to support a busy mother of five children by managing daily household tasks and assisting with childcare. This position is crucial for ensuring the household runs smoothly, allowing the mother to focus on her work and family time. The role includes responsibilities such as childcare, household management, errands, and organization, with occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines for children, including meal preparation and transportation to/from school/activities.
• Supervise younger children when the mother is working or attending personal appointments.
• Help prepare the children for outings, sports, and special events.
• Be available for occasional evenings or weekends for family needs.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and keeping the home tidy.
• Manage kitchen tasks including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
• Assist with laundry tasks such as sorting, washing, and folding clothes.
• Organize and file household documents.
• Decorate for holidays and assist in cleanup afterward.
• Handle home improvement projects and supervise scheduled vendors.
• Maintain outdoor spaces and manage household supplies.
• Assist with grocery shopping and manage deliveries.
• Plan and coordinate children's extracurricular activities and manage the family calendar.
• Research and book family activities and vacations.
• Occasionally travel with the family for vacations or assist with childcare while parents are away.

Requirements

• Experience in household management and childcare preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and multitask effectively.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
