About the position

The Motion Controls System Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing subsystem requirements and system modeling using SysML. This role involves leading a multi-discipline team to establish processes for model-based requirements analysis and architecture development, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate, derive, and develop subsystem requirements based on system level performance requirements.
  • Develop system modeling employing SysML to capture behavior, performance and constraint requirements.
  • Develop/capture various architectures (logical, physical, power, data mobility & fire power, etc) in SysML system model.
  • Develop/capture key subsystem & component interfaces in system model and interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Lead a multi-discipline team to establish processes and procedures for model-based requirements analysis and architecture development.
  • Participate in the SysML development to capture behavior, performance and constraint requirements.
  • Coordinate system modeling activity with partners and suppliers to provide a central system model.
  • Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, particularly in motion controls and system modeling.
  • Proficiency in SysML and Simulink.
  • Experience in developing subsystem requirements and system modeling.

Nice-to-haves

  • OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, Aerospace, Automotive) is desired.
