About the position

The Motion Designer role at HubSpot involves creating animated videos and enhancing web experiences through motion design. The position is part of the Video Team, which collaborates with various departments to produce engaging video content that aligns with HubSpot's brand and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of tackling creative challenges while maintaining brand consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, evolve, and optimize inclusive motion design solutions and interactions across diverse web experiences.
  • Partner with the Web Experience Team to identify optimal approaches for implementing motion on the HubSpot website.
  • Develop original breakthrough motion design thinking for a variety of brand and product touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure motion design enhances the user experience and supports the overall vision of each project.
  • Understand the look, feel, and voice of HubSpot to maintain and push forward brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to the unique global team culture.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Proficient with Figma, and knowledgeable about Lottie Files or other ways of exporting motion media to web-friendly formats and libraries.
  • Familiar with UI/UX and interaction design, information hierarchy, and user flow.
  • Experience collaborating with a team of other creatives, web developers, product managers, and marketers to deliver compelling motion graphics for various channels and platforms.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and creative design systems with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective multitasking and problem-solving skills for technical and creative issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the tech industry or prior experience working at a tech company.
