About the position

As a Motion Graphics Artist at Jazwares, you will play a pivotal role in bringing graphics to life through your strong creative background. This position requires you to create compelling stories that engage audiences and leave them wanting more. You will be responsible for executing dynamic motion graphics that are integrated with video footage, following all departmental processes and procedures as outlined by the Video Manager. Your creativity will be essential in assembling sequences using footage and motion graphics as directed to enhance the overall visual experience. You will also be expected to follow scripts or outlines while offering creative options for project approaches. In addition to assembling sequences, you will enhance footage by inputting sound, which may include selecting appropriate music and voice-overs. You will be tasked with improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and any faulty footage to ensure the highest quality output. Tracking the progress of assigned tasks using project management software will be a key part of your role, as will attending scheduled meetings to discuss team projects and revisions with both internal and external stakeholders. You will assist the video team with video shoot setups and breakdowns, as well as manage digital assets and personal storage optimization. Collaboration with other team members will be crucial to present a final product that meets all requirements and specifications. This role does not involve managing people directly, but it does require a high level of teamwork and communication to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sequences using footage and motion graphics as directed to enhance footage.
  • Follow script or outline, offering creative options for project approaches.
  • Input sound to enhance footage, including selecting music and voice-overs.
  • Improve and correct lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
  • Track the progress of assigned tasks using project management software.
  • Attend meetings to discuss team projects and revisions with internal and external members.
  • Assist video team with video shoot setup and breakdown, including unpacking and packing equipment.
  • Follow all project templates as outlined by the video manager.
  • Manage digital assets and optimize personal storage.
  • Collaborate with team members to present a final product that matches requirements and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience at a production studio, advertising agency, or similar.
  • Demo reel or website demonstrating creative abilities and examples of past work.
  • Strong technical skills and proven ability to use a variety of software, particularly Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premier Pro, and plugins like Element 3D).
  • Proficiency in 3D motion graphics with Cinema 4D, including simulations, texture, and lighting.
  • Advanced skills in design applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Eagerness to take on new challenges and implement innovative ideas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills to present ideas both verbally and visually.
  • Ability to meet with clients to understand needs and share ideas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional motion graphics software or tools.
  • Knowledge of video production processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
