About The Position

The Motion Graphic Designer plays a crucial role within the Creative Team of the University of Louisville Athletic Department, focusing on the design and production of motion graphics for in-game videoboard elements across various sports programs. This position is responsible for creating engaging visual content that enhances the overall brand experience during athletic events, collaborating closely with multimedia producers and adhering to brand standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
  • Experience with Maxon One Software including Cinema 4D and Red Giant.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge and bring creative ideas from concept to completion.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.

  • Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports or video production environment.
  • Previous work experience in intensive fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to produce high volumes of content while maintaining strong quality.
  • Comfortability with tight deadlines and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement videoboard motion graphics and animation for the current season and beyond, aiming for a new look every two years.
  • Collaborate with Learfield Sports Properties to develop content that enhances videoboard production, including sponsor content.
  • Design gameday animations and motion/still graphics for in-venue videoboards, including ribbons, fascia, and auxiliary boards.
  • Produce motion graphic elements for post-production videos.
  • Work with creative colleagues to develop the overall brand campaign and its elements.
