About the position

As a Motion Graphic Designer at Capgemini, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and animating engaging motion graphics tailored for various digital platforms. This includes social media, websites, video advertisements, and presentations. The position requires a creative individual with a strong portfolio that showcases their motion design capabilities and a passion for storytelling through animation. You will be expected to utilize industry-standard software to bring your ideas to life, ensuring that the graphics not only capture attention but also effectively communicate the intended messages and brand identity. In this role, you will be responsible for developing animations, transitions, and visual effects that enhance storytelling and engage audiences. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with creative teams to translate concepts and scripts into compelling visual narratives. This will involve creating storyboards and animatics to visualize the flow of the project before diving into the design phase. You will also design and create original assets, illustrations, and graphics that will be integral to the motion graphics projects you undertake. Editing and integrating motion graphics into video projects is another critical aspect of your responsibilities. You will ensure that all elements are synchronized with audio and video components, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency with brand guidelines. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines will be essential to your success in this fast-paced environment. You will also be expected to incorporate feedback from stakeholders and team members to refine and enhance your motion graphics, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and create dynamic motion graphics that effectively communicate concepts, messages, and brand identity.
  • Develop animations, transitions, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and engage audiences across different digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to translate concepts and scripts into compelling visual narratives through storyboards and animatics.
  • Design and create original assets, illustrations, and graphics to be used in motion graphics projects.
  • Edit and integrate motion graphics seamlessly into video projects, ensuring synchronization with audio and video elements.
  • Ensure all motion graphics align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency in style, tone, and messaging.
  • Work closely with copywriters, designers, and video producers to brainstorm ideas, provide creative input, and deliver cohesive multimedia content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and team members to refine and enhance motion graphics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in motion graphic design, preferably in an in-house or agency environment.
  • Experience working in communications department of an IT major would be an added advantage.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in motion graphics, animation techniques, and visual storytelling.
  • Understanding of media and cross-platforming.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and composition principles.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with video editing and compositing techniques.
  • Good understanding of designing for digital formats, especially for social channels.
