Motion Graphics Designer

About the position

The Arizona Diamondbacks are seeking a skilled and imaginative Motion Graphics Designer to join their production team. This role involves creating dynamic animated content for various internal clients, including marketing, social media, and broadcasting, as well as for in-game presentations at Chase Field. The ideal candidate will have a strong visual design sense and a passion for delivering quality entertainment to fans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Motion Graphics Manager, video producers, graphic designers, social media and marketing teams, and other departments to service the production goals of the Diamondbacks.
• Complete production assignments with minimal supervision, following the brand identity of the D-backs, accepting constructive feedback, and providing deliverables to meet strict deadlines.
• Conceive and create dynamic, innovative animated video content for in-game playback.
• Provide design support for non-baseball events within Chase Field.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Motion Graphic Design, Video Production or closely related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in design/video production
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience with graphic design, typography, and color
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
• Initiative and discipline to complete projects with limited supervision
• A professional attitude, receptive to creative feedback

Nice-to-haves

• 3D animation experience preferred
• Video editing and/or live production experience a plus
• Experience with Daktronics and Ross Xpression software is a bonus
• General baseball knowledge required
• Sense of humor
• Willingness to work irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
