About the position

The Co-Op position in the Motion Control Engineering division at Nidec involves assisting with customer programs related to robotics and material handling automation. The role focuses on managing databases, supporting prototype builds, and creating documentation, contributing to the development of innovative motor technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage a database for components, requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier lead times.
• Assist with prototype builds and design of prototype assist tooling.
• Manage CAD data in company database systems.
• Test and create related documentation.

Requirements

• BSME/EE undergraduate study, JR or early SR level
• Able to work minimum 32 hours/week (40 preferred)
• Experience with common shop hand tools
• CAD experience a plus (Pro Engineer Creo preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Capable of writing reports based on testing completed.
