Saratech is seeking a Motor & Propulsion Engineer to support the sub-assembly design through manufacturing, initial testing, and integration onto the physical aircraft. In this role, you will work collaboratively with peers in a team environment, contributing to the Saratech engineering team while also having the opportunity to grow your professional network. The ideal candidate will be involved in designing and developing propulsion systems for vehicles or aircraft, testing and evaluating these systems, and working closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure successful integration of the propulsion system while meeting safety and performance standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining and fixing propulsion systems, staying updated with the latest developments in propulsion technology, and providing technical support and expertise to other team members. Effective communication is key, as you will be expected to communicate updates and findings from your work. Additionally, you will manage budgets and schedules for various projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The position requires a strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to quickly understand and learn new technologies. You must be responsible, responsive, and accountable for your tasks, complying with all organizational policies and procedures, and maintaining strict confidentiality of all customer and employee information. You will also be expected to attend all mandatory management and staff meetings, represent the organization in a respectful and professional manner, and adhere to dress code requirements. This role may involve physical demands such as following detailed complex directions, problem-solving, and frequent communication with other staff members. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including remaining in a stationary position for 50% of the time and occasionally moving about the office to access necessary resources.
