About the position

Parsons is seeking a Motor Vehicle Inspector to perform vehicle inspections, ensuring safety and emissions compliance. This role involves data entry, maintaining a clean work environment, and providing excellent customer service by clearly explaining inspection results to customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete vehicle safety and emissions inspections within the lane.
• Enter data into the computer regarding vehicle inspections.
• Ensure the accuracy of vehicle inspection data including vehicle type, engine size, and inspection sticker.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by removing oil, water, and other materials from the lane and equipment.
• Provide excellent and courteous customer service to clients.
• Explain vehicle inspection results to customers in a clear and polite manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a New Jersey inspector's license upon employment (paid training provided).

Nice-to-haves
