About the position

The Motor Vehicle Operator (Forklift Operator) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing subordinate workers in the Fleet Service Flight. This position combines technical and administrative supervision with hands-on operation of various vehicles, including forklifts, to ensure efficient transportation of cargo and materials. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and effective personnel management, while also requiring the ability to perform the duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator.

Responsibilities

• Exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers.
• Drive and operate various types of medium trucks and forklifts to transport cargo and supplies.
• Perform operator maintenance and ensure compliance with safety directives.
• Maintain records and documents related to operations, inspections, and incidents.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Valid driver's license is required for operating motor vehicles.
• Ability to perform the work of a Motor Vehicle Operator (Forklift Operator) Supervisor without more than normal supervision.
• Knowledge of operating gasoline, diesel, or electric powered vehicles with a GVW of more than 10,000 pounds.
• Knowledge of cargo handling techniques and safety regulations.
