About The Position
The Office of General Services is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator to operate and drive vehicles on assigned mail runs and freight requests. The position involves retrieving, sorting, and distributing items throughout New York State, as well as processing, packaging, and labeling outgoing mail for shipment. The operator will be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is clean, well maintained, and that required repairs are properly reported. Additionally, the role includes assisting with office moves, maintaining and operating various types of equipment, and interacting with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
