About the position
Position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Crane Army Ammunition Activity and serves as Motor Vehicle Operator.
Responsibilities
- Operating single and combination vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 32,000 pounds or more.
- Position may be assigned to various work areas as determined by such factors as area workload, overtime, emergencies, and customer requests.
- Operates snowplows to assist in snow removal operations, as well as operations of construction equipment to load salt/sand, as needed.
- Uses load-securing devices and tarps to prevent damage or loss of cargo.
- Cleans vehicles, waiting areas, and work areas as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Position requires a valid state Class A Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT endorsement.
- Pre-employment physical is required as a condition of employment.
- Must maintain explosives certification.
- Position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- Must sign a form acknowledging understanding of the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
