Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, including single phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers.
• Inspect electro-mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Test the condition of windings and document relevant data.
• Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden damage.
• Observe proper insulating techniques during rewinding.
• Test rewound equipment and document test results accurately.
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines and test panels.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, using proper protective equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with AC/DC electric motors.
• Ability to collect data to repair winding systems.
• Ability to map out incoming connections and provided sketches.
• Ability to remove/strip stator or apparatus winding without damage to core or iron.
• Ability to braze connections.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Valid Driver's License.
