About the position

The Move, Add, Change (MAC) Lead is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all activities related to the movement, addition, and change of infrastructure and services within a secure environment. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and an active TS/SCI Clearance. The MAC Lead will also hold an RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification, which is essential for the effective coordination and implementation of MAC requests. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that all MAC activities are executed with minimal disruption to ongoing operations while adhering to organizational standards and security protocols. In this role, the MAC Lead will be tasked with planning and executing moves, adds, and changes of telecommunications and IT infrastructure. This involves collaborating with various departments to assess their needs, plan schedules, and efficiently execute MAC orders. The MAC Lead will ensure that all activities comply with organizational policies, security protocols, and industry best practices. Coordination with IT, facilities, and security teams is crucial to manage the logistics of physical and network changes effectively. The MAC Lead will also maintain accurate documentation of all MAC activities, ensuring detailed records of changes made to the infrastructure are kept. Leadership and guidance will be provided to the MAC team, ensuring that all members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential to manage expectations and keep them informed of progress and any potential issues that may arise during the MAC process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications and IT infrastructure, including cabling systems, network configurations, and equipment installations.
  • Proficiency in project management and coordination, with the ability to manage multiple MAC orders simultaneously.
