About the position

Unique Moving and Storage is seeking a part-time Mover/Supervisor (Operations Manager in training) to join our fast-paced and growing moving company. This role involves a mix of desk work, hands-on moving tasks, and customer interaction, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic, a desire to learn, and the ability to manage moving operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee moving operations and assist with hands-on moving jobs.
• Check inventory, trucks, moving equipment, and materials.
• Train and document employees/movers.
• Schedule movers and handle dispatching duties.
• Perform pre and post job duties, including injury and damage reporting.
• Conduct job site visits and provide customer assistance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Open availability 6 to 7 days a week.
• Valid CA driver's license with 6+ years of driving experience and no major infractions.
• Ability to drive 26ft moving trucks.
• Tech-savvy with mobile phones, computers, and iPads.
• Management experience preferred.
• Collaborative mindset with other managerial staff.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the moving industry is a plus.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends.
