About the position
We are seeking dedicated Movers to join our team in Ronkonkoma, NY. In this role, you will assist with the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring that items are handled with care and delivered safely to their destinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be physically fit, and have experience in moving and heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload items from trucks and other vehicles.
- Safely transport goods to designated locations while adhering to route plans.
- Operate box trucks and other moving equipment as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform routine checks on equipment such as forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete moving tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in moving or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Experience with route driving or delivery driving is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Valid driver's license; experience operating box trucks is an advantage.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
