About the position

The Operator Assistant Trainee position at Halliburton is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to start a career in the energy industry. This position involves a 90-day training period where trainees will learn essential safety, repair, and operational procedures related to equipment and tools. The role requires adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines while assisting in various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic safety, repair, and operations procedures on equipment and tools under supervision.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines.
• Assist in the completion of pre and post job equipment inspections and associated paperwork.
• Help in rigging-up and rigging-down of operation equipment, including high-pressure iron and hose connections.
• Assist in completing preventative maintenance procedures and maintaining support equipment.
• Participate in the clean-up, repair, and preparation for jobs.
• Practice safe driving procedures when traveling to and from locations.
• Complete required training following the Company's learning development system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Class A CDL permit preferred prior to start date.
• Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days after start date.
• Manual transmission experience preferred.
• Satisfactory driver record with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years or any current DWI/DUI charges.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.
• Ability to pass background, physical, and drug screen.
• Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule and be on-call with short notice.
