About the position

The MR Tech position at Northside Hospital involves operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed tomographic films of various patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role is essential in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce tomographic films of designated portions of the human body.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during MRI procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment as necessary.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards in the imaging department.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology OR ARMRIT (MR) registry OR ARRT (MR) only registry in lieu of ARRT (RT) certification and diagnostic radiology experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered MRI Technologist by ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR)
• One (1) year of training and experience in MRI.
• One (1) year of training and experience in Special Procedures or Computerized Tomography.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
