About the position

The MRI Imaging Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital. This role involves developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing staff relations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinating patient care services. The manager will also be accountable for departmental budgets and performance metrics, while occasionally performing MRI Technologist duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads the implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives for MRI services.
• Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics.
• Accountable for monthly reporting of departmental variances, budget, FTE, and expense variances with associated action plan.
• May perform the duties of an MRI Technologist as department staffing levels require.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required.
• Five years of MRI experience, with two years in leadership.
