About the position
The MRI Technologist position at Memorial Healthcare System involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. The position is full-time, with a commitment of 36 hours per week, primarily during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on patients as per physician's orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain and operate MRI equipment according to safety standards.
- Document and report any abnormalities or issues during imaging procedures.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff as needed.
Requirements
- Must be registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registered as a Technologist (ARMRIT) within one calendar year of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited imaging program.
- No previous experience required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
