About the position

The MRI Technologist at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures independently, ensuring accurate diagnostic image production. This role requires a commitment to patient evaluation and the application of appropriate technical factors, all while adhering to safety and confidentiality standards. The position is integral to the Diagnostic Imaging team, which utilizes advanced imaging technology to support healthcare teams in delivering precise diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures at a technical and professional level without direct supervision.
• Conduct appropriate patient evaluations prior to imaging procedures.
• Utilize proper technical factors for diagnostic image production.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and procedures during imaging operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Current ARRT (MR) or equivalent credential required.
• Current unencumbered Oregon license in MRI required, with a temporary license upon hire for new graduates.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
• Radiography background with ARRT RT(R) credential preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
