The role requires the technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations, assess vein/site selection, and initiate venipuncture as per established standards. The technologist must document venipuncture sites and contrast in the Radiology Information System (RIS) according to departmental guidelines. A strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy is essential, as the technologist must recognize anatomical landmarks and abnormalities, alerting the radiologist as necessary. Adherence to departmental policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards is crucial in maintaining a safe and effective imaging environment. This position also includes a call requirement, with the technologist expected to be on call for one weekend every five weeks and Monday through Thursday every seven weeks.
