About the position

The MS Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish) at Charter Schools USA is responsible for creating and implementing a flexible program and classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. This role involves developing lesson plans that align with established guidelines and effectively engaging students in the learning process. The teacher will establish effective rapport with students, staff members, and parents, motivating students to develop the necessary skills, attitudes, and knowledge to build a solid educational foundation tailored to each student's abilities. In this position, the teacher will plan and implement a comprehensive program of instruction that adheres to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study. This includes making purposeful lesson plans that maximize teaching strategies and time on task, presenting subject matter in a way that enhances learning opportunities, and providing real-world application examples. The teacher will also review student records to understand each student's abilities and needs, maintain accurate student records, and strive to maximize educational achievement. The teacher will utilize a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons, frequently assessing student strengths and weaknesses. They will assign lessons, correct student work, and prepare students for state-required assessments. Additionally, the teacher will assist in curriculum revision processes and the selection of instructional materials, ensuring that the classroom environment is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of students. The role also involves establishing cooperative relations with parents and guardians, communicating effectively with them, and participating in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture. The teacher is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the position and the mission of the company, supporting its values in academic excellence, operational performance, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
  • Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and maintain order in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with parents and guardians.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture.

Requirements

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and administrative staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information Systems (SIS).
  • Ability to be consistently present at work and follow management directions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching foreign languages, particularly Spanish.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
