About the position

Pacific Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified Part-Time MS/HS Spanish Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As a nonsectarian, fully accredited, coeducational college-preparatory private school, we pride ourselves on cultivating our students' natural abilities through a variety of innovative teaching methods. Our approach includes small class sizes, individualized learning options, frequent advisement meetings, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary teaching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for the Spanish language and culture among middle and high school students. This role requires a commitment to student success and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives that enhance the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish language and culture to middle and high school students.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
