About the position

The Division of Neurology at Carilion Clinic is seeking a neurologist with fellowship training in MS/Neuroimmunology to join their expanding program. This role involves clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities, focusing on Multiple Sclerosis and General Neurology. The position offers opportunities for academic appointments and involvement in clinical trials, making it ideal for candidates passionate about advancing care through education and research.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and General Neurology.
• Engage in research and clinical trials related to MS/Neuroimmunology.
• Teach and mentor residents in various medical fields including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Neurosurgery.
• Participate in leadership opportunities within the division.
• Manage outpatient and potentially inpatient care, with a focus on MS volume.

Requirements

• Completed residency in Neurology.
• Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis and/or Neuro-immunology is preferred.
• Strong interest in Multiple Sclerosis and General Neurology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in academic medicine and teaching.
