About the position

We are looking for a seasoned SQL Server Engineer with extensive experience in MS SQL Server, particularly in Always On architecture and Windows Clustering. The role requires strong PowerShell scripting skills and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate should be proactive, a quick learner, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team, with familiarity in agile practices and tools like Jira and Horizon.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases with a focus on Always On architecture.
• Implement and manage Windows Clustering for high availability.
• Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
• Collaborate with team members in an agile environment, adhering to scrum framework values.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding database performance and issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server Always On and Windows Clustering.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Database and programming background with MSSQL and other database products.
• Knowledge of Hyper-V/virtualization products.
• Experience with REST API interfaces.
