About the position

The Maryland State Ad Agency (MSAA) is seeking a Media Buyer responsible for developing, executing, and managing media strategies and buys across various platforms including broadcast, digital, and social media. This role involves monitoring campaign performance, collaborating with internal teams and clients, and maintaining relationships with media vendors to effectively communicate important messages through public service announcements and advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage campaigns on media platforms including Broadcast, Cable, Public Television, Broadcast and Public Radio, OOH, Google Ads, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, CTV/OTT, streaming audio, and other programmatic vendors.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and clients to achieve campaign goals.
  • Contribute to final reports.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Research target audience media consumption.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with media vendors.
  • Professionally represent Maryland State Ad Agency.

Requirements

  • AA degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience with programmatic media planning and buying campaigns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Sheets and Docs.
  • Experience researching media trends, opportunities and target media consumption.
  • Experience with marketing metrics such as ROI, frequency, gross rating points, etc.
  • Exceptional analytics, budget management skills, writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
