About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Neurology at AbbVie is a field-based scientific expert responsible for supporting the scientific and business objectives related to Neurology, particularly in the context of Parkinson's disease. This role involves engaging with healthcare professionals, providing education on disease states and AbbVie products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's presence in the medical community. The MSL will develop and execute territory plans, maintain relationships with external experts, and support research initiatives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans.
• Identify and develop professional relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas.
• Deliver on territory plan objectives and achieve annual functional goals.
• Provide education on disease state and AbbVie products to healthcare providers and researchers.
• Support research initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health sciences; advanced degree preferred, doctorate strongly preferred.
• Greater than or equal to 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience.
• Problem-solving and analytic skills to identify and translate territory needs into actionable objectives.
• Exhibit leadership attributes aligned with company initiatives.
• Ability to learn and apply skills in Scientific Storytelling and Active Listening.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Neurology therapeutic area.
