About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Neurology at AbbVie is a field-based scientific expert responsible for supporting the scientific and business objectives related to Parkinson's Disease across the product life cycle. This role involves engaging with healthcare professionals, providing education on disease states and treatment options, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance AbbVie's presence in the medical community.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain high impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans.
• Identify and develop professional relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas within the assigned geography.
• Deliver on territory plan objectives and achieve annual functional goals.
• Provide education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products to healthcare providers and researchers.
• Support research initiatives across development, including site evaluation and recruitment.
• Create and maintain relationships with cross-functional partnerships, including commercial teams and clinical research associates.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline; Doctorate preferred in health science or clinical discipline.
• Greater than or equal to 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytic skills to identify and translate territory and corporate needs into actionable objectives.
• Exhibit leadership attributes aligned with company-wide initiatives.
• Ability to learn and apply foundational skills in Scientific Storytelling, Identifying Mobilizers, Powerful Questions, and Active Listening.
• Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Neurology therapeutic area.
