The MSP Forensic Scientist I is an entry-level position responsible for performing analyses on blood and other physiological fluids to detect the presence and concentration of alcohol and drugs that may cause impairment. The role involves working under supervision until the required training is completed and authorization is granted to perform casework independently. The incumbent will also learn to prepare written reports and testify as an expert witness in court regarding the analysis results.
