About the position

The Systems Administrator at FusionTek is responsible for managing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure for small to mid-sized businesses. This role focuses on providing exceptional client service through technical problem-solving, primarily dealing with escalated tickets from the level 1 team. The position requires a strong understanding of desktop and server operating systems, networking, and cloud services, with an emphasis on communication skills to assist non-technical users.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets from the level 1 team, including break/fix issues and application installation.
  • Administer server and networking tasks, including building Hyper-V hosts and deploying SonicWall firewalls.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to level 1 technicians.
  • Document, track, and escalate tickets through the ticketing system.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in the company's platform.
  • Deliver world-class service to clients both remotely and onsite.

Requirements

  • Superb knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MacOS.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 office suite.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 cloud services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Datto BCDR and/or SaaS Backup is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SonicWall firewalls is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Datto networking or general networking is a plus.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A+ and/or Network+ certifications are required; MD-100 and MD-101 are preferred.
  • Experience with a ticketing system is preferred, especially Autotask.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Datto BCDR and/or SaaS Backup is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SonicWall firewalls is a plus.
  • Experience working in a ticketing system, especially Autotask.

Benefits

  • Annualized base salary of $65,000 - $85,000
  • Quarterly bonus eligibility of up to 16% of base salary
