About the position
The position involves assisting physicians in providing direct patient care and health education tailored to the specific needs of healthcare patients. Responsibilities
- Assist the physician in providing direct patient care and health teaching.
- Deliver quality care by offering excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with the physician and nursing staff regarding patient care.
- Proficiently enter orders and provide clerical support in record keeping and scheduling.
- Verify patient demographics and maintain patient records.
- Schedule patients for appointments and referrals.
- Prepare patients for examinations and manage patient billing and payments.
- Meet and greet patients and maintain office supplies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing/specimen preparation preferred.
- Excellent PC skills.
Nice-to-haves
- OB/GYN experience preferred.
