The MTS Integration Engineer role at GlobalFoundries Fab 8 in Malta, NY, is a critical position within the integration team engaged in advanced technology at the state-of-the-art 300 mm wafer fab. The selected candidate will be responsible for owning a specific integrated module for high-volume manufacturing technology. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work closely with multiple stakeholders within the organization to meet critical goals related to cost, line yield, and overall yield with minimal supervision. As a Process Integration Engineer, the individual will take ownership of the integration module, collaborating with device, process module, and packaging teams to drive effective solutions. The role emphasizes driving improvements in Cp/Cpk, defect reduction, and cost efficiency for the integrated module. The engineer will also be expected to perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. This position is essential for ensuring the successful operation and advancement of manufacturing technologies at GlobalFoundries.

Responsibilities

  • Integration module ownership for the high volume manufacturing technology
  • Collaborating with device, process module, & packaging team in driving solutions
  • Driving Cp/Cpk improvement, defect and cost reduction for an integrated module
  • Performing all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Requirements

  • PHD's/Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline
  • Experience in CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
