About the position

The Mulesoft Development Analyst role at Accenture involves designing and developing integrations and APIs using MuleSoft. The position is part of the Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs), which focus on providing innovative technology solutions to clients. The role requires collaboration with senior developers and cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet architectural standards and business requirements, while also ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of MuleSoft applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop integrations and APIs using MuleSoft.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to implement solutions according to architectural standards and business requirements.
  • Gain knowledge of MuleSoft best practices for efficient design, development, deployment, and management of MuleSoft applications.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of MuleSoft solutions under supervision.
  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize the performance of MuleSoft applications.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Document solutions to facilitate understanding and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on MuleSoft platform advancements and incorporate new features into solutions.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including senior developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with MuleSoft development and design.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience implementing API security.
  • MuleSoft Associate or MuleSoft Developer 1 certification.
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix integration issues.
  • Ability to assist in troubleshooting and debugging MuleSoft applications effectively.
  • Exposure to agile project management practices.
  • Understanding of RESTful and SOAP API design and development.
  • Familiarity with RAML and OpenAPI for API specification.
  • Skills in DataWeave for data transformation, including data mapping and transformations.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, and other data formats.
  • Basic knowledge of ESB concepts and middleware solutions.
  • Understanding of message brokers and queuing systems (e.g., JMS, AMQP).
  • Basic understanding of security principles and best practices, including OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS, and encryption.
  • 2 years of experience in using DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
  • Basic skills in setting up automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation using MuleSoft.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
