About the position

The Database Administrator role at Lockheed Martin involves supporting the Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS) for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. The position is critical for maintaining the integrity of data and ensuring the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems. The successful candidate will interact with users and leadership, manage system functionality, and provide training as needed. This role requires a valid security clearance and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, including potential deployment to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership.
• Perform system/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring.
• Maintain smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2, and engineers.
• Conduct laptop re-imaging, troubleshooting, and account maintenance.
• Regularly monitor systems/applications for availability and performance.
• Train ALIS Administrators and users on the ALIS system as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a Secret security clearance or higher with investigation within the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA) within 60 days of hire.
• IT experience in system/database/network/mission planning administration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience troubleshooting applications and account maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM.
• Disaster recovery experience: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases, and network equipment.
• Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware) experience.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator experience.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, including JSF ALIS hardware and software.
• Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military.
