About the position
The Corporate Controller position at a leading multi-billion investment firm involves overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with the CFO on budgeting and forecasting. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the firm and supporting its profitability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Statement preparation, while staying current with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Collaborate with the CFO on global budgeting, forecasting updates, variance analysis, and enhancements to the Management Company Reporting Package.
- Contribute to firm profitability presentations and expense allocations, supporting the annual compensation process.
- Manage global treasury functions, streamline workflows, and liaise with external stakeholders on audit, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in financial services.
- Experience with management company accounting at an investment firm is required.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and industry practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic focus and governance within team settings.
