About the position
As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at Smucker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This position involves troubleshooting automated systems, maintaining plant equipment, and leading maintenance projects. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality products while promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot automated systems including programmable logic controls, electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic interrelations.
- Take control of plant equipment reliability and own the results of operations by preventing breakdowns and improving preventive maintenance practices.
- Document and analyze data as part of sustaining equipment reliability.
- Design, plan, and execute restoration/repair projects as an electro-mechanical technician.
- Contribute positively to team-driven projects and lead when suited.
Requirements
- Journeyman level knowledge regarding electrical and control systems, power transmission systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and multi-craft maintenance.
- Willingness to work on a 12-hour 2-2-3 shift rotation, fixed days or nights.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company safety rules and GMPs.
- Capability to lead and direct a crew of contractors in job execution.
- Clear and effective communication skills in verbal, written, and meeting settings.
- Desire to advance and develop personal knowledge and skill set.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with reliability centered maintenance strategies.
- Familiarity with data analysis for maintenance improvement.
