About the position
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of machinery, mechanical equipment, and industrial vehicles within the manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The technician will collaborate with contractor services and report directly to the Maintenance Manager, working primarily on the third shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Preventive Actions, Quality Policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Safety policies.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) duties in accordance with the CMMS and plant requirements.
- Identify problems with equipment and facility systems, document issues, and take corrective actions.
- Communicate pertinent issues to management.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in maintenance or production work in a manufacturing environment required.
- 3+ years experience in 3 phase electrical required.
- Relevant certification from a trade school required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, OSHA requirements, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills are required.
