About the position

The Multi-Facility Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative support and daily operations of multiple nursing facilities in Northeast and Central Louisiana. This role involves training and supervising staff, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, and managing various business office functions, including billing and collections. The position requires travel to different facilities and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process Medicaid Pending applications
  • Prepare and submit applicable write-off requests per collection policy
  • Prepare daily deposits
  • Manage billing and collections
  • Oversee census activities
  • Supervise business office staff
  • Negotiate single case agreements
  • Process insurance authorizations

Requirements

  • Long term care experience
  • Mid-level experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Administrative experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare billing practices
  • Knowledge of third-party coverage criteria
  • Basic accounting procedures
