About the position

As a Multi-Family & Sustainability Analyst at PEG, LLC, you will specialize in energy analysis and green building practices, focusing on multifamily projects. Your role involves coordinating with clients and field teams to ensure compliance with various green building standards, conducting inspections, and assisting in the training of new analysts. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and emphasizes the importance of sustainability in the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review received inspection results for compliance with IECC, HERS, ENERGY STAR, and other relevant standards.
  • Prepare and submit compliance documentation to third-party organizations and authorities.
  • Coordinate with the Field Team to ensure accurate inspection report submissions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all green building project stakeholders.
  • Perform on-site verification for green building projects as needed.
  • Prepare projected and confirmed energy models according to relevant codes and standards.
  • Complete special projects independently and on time.
  • Review energy ratings consistent with internal quality assurance protocols.
  • Review building plans to ensure incorporation of green building practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new SOPs for green building certification workflows.
  • Assist in training and certification of Energy Analysts for RESNET HERS Modeler credential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with construction, energy efficiency building codes, or green building programs.
  • Experience with energy modeling software such as Ekotrope, REMrate, and/or CHEERS.
  • Familiarity with commercial building simulation software like eQuest or EnergyPlus is a plus.
  • Experience using SketchUp to create 3D models and drawings.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial IECC requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional energy modeling software.
  • Familiarity with LEED certification processes.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment.
