About the position

The Multimedia Account Executive at AJC is responsible for representing and selling a diverse portfolio of media products, including print, digital, and direct marketing solutions. This role focuses on developing assigned markets, increasing revenue from both new and existing accounts, and achieving specific revenue goals through audience-based solutions. The position requires strong sales skills, digital media knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow assigned markets/categories to increase revenue.
  • Achieve stated product revenue goals by applying audience-based solutions.
  • Conduct sales calls, phone calls, and emails to engage clients.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, closing, and retaining business.
  • Collaborate with primary client contacts to develop and execute client solutions.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Utilize a sales automation system to manage daily activities and report to management.
  • Meet or exceed management-defined activity, revenue, and product goals.
  • Demonstrate digital competency in various media including programmatic, native, mobile, social media, SEM, and video/audio.
  • Train and develop other account executives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in digital product sales, digital services sales, or media sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Superior sales and phone skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Results-driven, self-directed, and motivated with exceptional multi-tasking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in traditional advertising sales.
  • Knowledge of the print media landscape and competitive publications.
