About the position
The Multi-Media Account Executive position at WAVY-TV10 and WVBT FOX43 involves generating advertising revenue through client engagement and strategic sales efforts. The role focuses on building relationships with local businesses, understanding their advertising needs, and providing tailored solutions across television and digital platforms. The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining existing accounts while also developing new business opportunities to exceed revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Generate advertising revenue by calling on established agencies and cold-calling new prospects.
- Establish credible relationships with the local business community.
- Make sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain assigned accounts and develop new accounts.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients.
- Explain how specific types of advertising will help promote clients' products or services effectively.
- Provide clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
- Develop advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising on station media.
- Work with clients and station personnel to develop multi-media advertising campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing strategies to achieve them.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
