Multi-Media Specialist

About the position

The Multi-Media Specialist position at JANSON involves providing support for the US Army client through the creation and management of digital media content. This hybrid role requires working on-site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia for three days a week and remotely for two days. The specialist will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing multimedia products, including videography and photography, while also managing digital marketing campaigns and maintaining the public-facing website.

Responsibilities

• Edit and write content for a variety of digital media platforms.
• Collaborate on digital marketing campaigns and develop and capture supporting digital media content.
• Cover local events with photo and video and capture multi-media for use on digital media platforms.
• Provide on-site video and photography coverage of events, as requested.
• Support the daily management of the public-facing website (WordPress) by tracking and completing tasks staffed in Jira and making front-end updates to the website.
• Provide records management uploading final articles into DVIDS and CORE.
• Oversee weekly digital media calendar.
• Draft and post daily approved content; and monitor and respond to comments and questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years' experience in digital marketing.
• Experience conceptualizing, designing, and producing multimedia products, including videography and photography.
• Solid grammar and editing skills are required.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects and follow through to meet deadlines.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital content creation and distribution.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with WordPress is preferred.
• Valid Secret Clearance license is preferred.
