About the position

The Multi-Purpose Clerk - Night Crew at The Save Mart Companies is responsible for various clerk duties within the grocery store, primarily during overnight shifts. This role involves stocking shelves, pricing items, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The clerk will also engage in customer service and assist with operational tasks to maintain store efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, display, price, and face products.
• Break down loads including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes.
• Order writing and ensuring item to tag integrity.
• Report all risks or safety issues to management.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases/coolers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Minimal checking on cash register.
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• Know the location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
