About the position

The Multi-Site Maintenance Supervisor at Camden is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of two or more multifamily communities. This role involves leading a maintenance team, ensuring timely repairs, managing the make-ready process, and conducting preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a commitment to meeting community goals while creating lasting impressions for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee two or more communities and supervise the maintenance team.
  • Efficiently schedule maintenance activities, including make readies and service requests.
  • Monitor and prioritize service requests and tasks, identifying emergencies that require immediate attention.
  • Communicate assignments to the maintenance team and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance on community and apartment appliances and equipment.
  • Manage the make ready process by assessing vacant apartments and ensuring repairs are completed.
  • Monitor recurring repairs and work with the team to address underlying issues.
  • Participate in completing service requests, including repairs to appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Accurately maintain records in OneSite regarding service requests and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance needs in the community.
  • Provide input on employee performance evaluations and assist in recruiting maintenance staff.
  • Train, develop, and mentor maintenance staff.
  • Complete written property safety audits periodically.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies for repairs.
  • Monitor the monthly maintenance budget and assist in determining annual budgets.
  • Assist with grounds keeping, pool maintenance, and other tasks as needed.
  • May oversee new development or rehabilitation of a community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and some college or trade school preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in apartment maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • EPA certification Type I and II, or Universal and CPO certification required.
  • Ability to perform tile work, carpentry repairs, and all facets of the apartment make-ready process.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, and major appliances.
  • Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT) preferred.
  • Must have required certifications/permits for job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
