About the position

The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment across Belmont communities. This part-time role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various appliances, equipment, and systems while ensuring compliance with municipal codes. The technician will provide general maintenance services weekly and must possess reliable work experience in property maintenance, along with their own transportation and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and attractive environment in Belmont communities.
  • Install, maintain, and repair appliances, equipment, and physical structures.
  • Complete service requests accurately and efficiently according to work orders.
  • Communicate detailed notices of work performed to residents and the Resident Manager.
  • Assist with apartment make-ready procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
  • Perform emergency maintenance and be on-call for emergency duty.
  • Inspect and report unusual circumstances in apartments.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have own standard tools for maintenance work.
  • Experience in property maintenance for a property management company.
  • Knowledge of safe work procedures and familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with drywall, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general property maintenance preferred.
